So I’ve known ByzeOne since he moved from Bakersfield to SD and is a person who does his best to tell it like it is. If you don’t know about him, indulge me by reading his account,

So about 10 years ago this guy was living somewhere working at a station. I went to visit the guy and do my promo thing, as we all do. We had a few conversations with them and heard the famous line “Man if I can only get to (insert big market here) I would be soo grateful and I will look out for you forever”. Ok so forever is a long time right? Wrong lol and in the industry forever means “while you’re hot in the streets” and that’s not that long. Anyways so throughout the years this person has come to the (insert big market here) and did their thing. from Radio to Record Deal to Commericals to whatever the fuck else, oh yeah Production….oh those beats, we won’t talk about those beats….anyways

In the beginning all was well…Let’s see I helped them get the job by selling them to the station (no matter what you read I really sold them to the station down to the wire) I followed up for over a month for the air check and this was like pulling teeth…So basically I help “them” get this super cool gig and was intensionally left out of the “bio” and this I know because I sat with them and their publicist at the time and said “Look I don’t want nothing from you but a thank you in the bio cause the shit will go a long way for me” then I saw the bio a week later and I was not named but replaced with a “was discovered by ?-???” and that is not how I spell Byze One…..

I and even drove the U Haul around helping them find a place to live. So for a few years I was the man! Woo hoo byze is the man he got me to (insert very big market here) and I got you buddy for life. COOOOOOOL….

Anyways let’s fast forward to last week….ME: “Yo let’s get some lunch this week, we haven’t sat down one on one in a minute”…reply from Super Star: (not exact words but close) “Yo I’d love to but I have company and I dont wanna bring them by industry people” – - – - – - – hhhmmmm….industry people. interesting….So I guess the lesson here is if you go out of your way to help someone get a career popping and help them go from a used car to a “HipHop” mobile with 45′ rims and a big ass house that I have to be invited then you my friend will be been played as I was. At first I was hurt, then I thought fuck em, thanks for reminding me that forever is every 10 years……Woo hoo I have been alive for 3 forevers and 7yrs….

At the end of the day this person will probably read this and then text me and say “Who did that to you so I can call them” LOL – It’s ok, I didn’t take it personally, it was just businesss……Thanks for doing business with me
